Q: Hi! I really need photos done ASAP, what are my options?!
A: If I'm available then yes, we can make this happen. However, because you are going to be trumping others in line there is a rush charge on top of the regular package price. It is a standard $175 for all packages (apart from event packages like weddings, concerts, etc)
Q: How many photos are taken during the shoot?
A: Hmmm….that really depends, on a number of things. Depending on what package you chose and what we are shooting for will change how many photos are needed for editing. For example, if you are getting headshots you won’t be getting as many photos as say, someone doing engagement photos. But, they won’t be getting as many as a wedding, etc… As well, though there are “time frames” for the packages, if I feel we still haven’t gotten what we need, we will usually go a bit longer.
For people who don’t normally model, usually it takes longer to get warmed up with the camera and therefore more photos will be needed to make sure there are enough that turn out for everyone to be happy!

Q: How does payment work?
A: Payment is due on the day of the shoot unless we are shooting a wedding. For weddings, half the amount is due at booking and the other half is due a week before the wedding. Cash and cheque are accepted, cheques to be made out to "Cornelia Klimek" :)

Q: How does this whole "getting my photos" process work?
A: After our shoot, I will sit down and go through all the photos. Those that I feel would be suitable for editing are then put online and you get to choose which ones you want done (the number that are included in your package). I will then process them for you and you will be able to go back onto the website and download the high-resolution photos directly to your computer. Everything is password protected, so only those that you give your username and password out to will have access to the pictures.
If you need more photos or a DVD of all the pictures from the shoot, it is extra and can be added after the shoot.

Q: How long for my pictures to be uploaded?
A: Because I'm still a student, times will differ depending on what is going on school wise. The given wait time is between 3-4 weeks for the final photos, you may get them earlier, they may be a little late, but they will always come! If the wait is going to be longer than 3 weeks, I will send out an email letting you know they ARE coming! Weddings (given the amount of photos) have a wait time between a month and two months.

Q: What do you shoot with?
A: Though I understand the curiosity about what creates the images you see, I stress that the equipment isn’t as important as you think because amazing images can be created with a pinhole camera or a Holga. However, currently I shoot with:
Camera:
- Canon 50D
- Canon 500D
- Canon 350D
Lenses:
- Canon 18-55mm (350D kit)
- Sigma 70-300mm (macro)
- Canon 50mm
- Canon 17-85mm IS (50D kit)
Q: What camera do you reccommend?
A: Honestly? The one that feels best for you? Is there a difference with Canon vs Nikon vs Sony vs Pentax? Sure, but they all have their strengths and weaknesses and so on. You have to go to the store and play around with them, see which menu system you like best, if the grip feels good, is it a good weight (remember, you are carrying this around for hours sometimes!), are the buttons in good places, does the shutter make an annoying noise (more important than you think), what price range is it in, how expensive are accessories? There are lots of things that make choosing a camera super personal. That being said, go and get a Canon :)

Q: Who owns the copyright of the photos/what can I do with my images?
A: The photographer, according to the law, always owns the copyright to the images, even when you pay for them. What you can do with the photos is up to the photographer.
For my images you ARE ALLOWED to: make as many prints as you please, upload them online with proper credit, make copies of the disk for friends and family.
You are NOT ALLOWED to: use the images for profit in any way (ie: sell prints of them, charge money for copies), have them published without permission, make any changes to the image that alters it a lot (basic colour correction/cropping is fine).
Some of the packages have a limited license on them, this means that you can use the images promotionally for your own image etc...however, no manipulation other than what is mentioned above is allowed. As well, where possible, credit should be given. The images should not be sold for profit (via prints etc...) without written permission.
